The men I know want, among other things, to know that they are fully human, unique, and valued for thier uniqueness-- that they are not considered expendable.

They want to know they do not have to go to war, that they do not have to always be the protector, that they do not have to kill or be killed.

They want to know that a woman is able to look after herself and be a partner.

They want women to interrupt and refrain from any form of male bashing. They want women who mother boys to mother them well and in a healthy fashion.

They want the woman to speak up and be clear about whether she is or is not interested in being a sexual partner-- they like knowing when they can take a break from the constant pursuit-rejection/conquer role sexually nd can relax in safety with a female friend who will enjoy them exactly as they are.

They want women to understand them without controlling them or manipulating them to change, and without mothering them in whatever way their mother mis-mothered them.

They want to be able to be close to other men without being accused of being gay or weak or needy or silly, and without always having to compete with them.

They want it to be safe enough.
