My father was/is the type that screams and yells...but not usually at his wife...mostly at his children...maybe occasionally at his wife. It's a very dysfunctional way to raise a child, and indicates an inability to control one's own emotions, and a lack of respect for other people. It is of no benefit to a healthy marriage either.

Wise men and women avoid teaming up with such individuals.
