Vixen asked me a lighthouse question, so I did some research. I thought you might like to see what I came up with. I posted it here to check my links, but then I decided I might as well leave it up.

Hi, Vic - I'll bet the photo you're talking about is the one by Jean Guichard of the La Jument light, taken in December, 1989. It's off the coast of Brittany. A look at a map of France will show you how treacherous the Brittany coast can be. It sticks way out there into the ocean, with nothing to protect it. If you click here, you'll get another interesting photo, but you have to wait a moment for the entire thing to load so you get the full effect.
A search of the Digital Tradition for Lighthouse turns up only nine songs, but you can find a few more at Cowpie, including the wonderful Ready for the Storm, by Dougie MacLean. Finally, this is the gospel lighthouse song that I like best - click here (but you won't go far).
