Wolfgang, the French haven't just banned the wearing of symbols of the Muslim religion - they have banned the wearing of ALL religious symbols in their schools, including Christian ones such as crucifixes. It's not an anti-Muslim thing, they believe it will unite rather than divide different religious communities in France. Looks like they could be right, although not for the reasons they originally thought. Let's hope so.
