Catholic nuns have a reputation for being bitter and abusive. As with all groups it is the small handful that makes the image, and yet it falls on the whole category. Of course you have known the exceptions.   But, whence all the horror stories of being slapped with rulers and inculcated with mindless obeisance through intimidation by sisters acting as teachers?

Anyway abusive practices by priests or pastors or sisters has nothing to do with the issue of religion.
