I remember trotting through the sand of the training area at CFB Borden in central Ontario, singing:

I wanna be an Airborne ranger
Live that life of thrills and danger.
If you've got a low IQ
Then you can join the Airborne, too!

Of course, the Canadian Forces had an Airborne Regiment but no rangers. Now we don't have the Airborne either, but that's quite another pair of sleeves.
