It all depends on which Muslim you are talking to, and which angle he's looking at it from. Some Muslims are kind and harmless people, despite the vicious teachings emanating from certain fanatics in that religion. You could say this about Christians too.

All warring groups end up killing innocents, but not too many kidnap school children as an initial bargaining point.

A God that one is instructed to "fear" is either a false God...or a false understanding OF God...yet those same instructions to fear God can be found in the Christian Bible too, in numerous places. That's because they emanated from cultures where people were taught to fear the male patriarchs who ran the show. They made God in their own dominant male image. That is not God. Matter of fact, it's closer to some sort of demon than it is to God.

God is Life. Life is not mean, vengeful or cruel, it is abundant and generous. Frightened, ignorant people are mean, vengeful and cruel.
