Old enough to know better, etc.

female!

3. Do you have a favorite color?
Not really, but I lean towards jewel tones- garnet, sapphire, emerald...

4. favorite authors/ type of book?
"English cozy" mysterys (I loved the last 2 PDJames)
Well-written books (such as essays)on astronomy, history, and of course, folk music!

5. what books have you really been wanting?
Oh, I dunno. I'm not much of a book buyer, since we have a good library system.

6. what type of music do you like?
English/Irish/Scottish of all kinds, Appalachian and southern harmony, whatever my SS has recorded, etc.! NOT heavy metal, nor anything on American popular radio these days.

7. what cds have you really been wanting?
Surprise me.

8. What movies (vhs is in the price range) have you been wnting?
None- I'm not much of a movie watcher, although I like the old classics (I'm such a wuss!)

9. what is your t-shirt size?
Don't bother- I seldom wear one!

10. do you collect anything? if so, what?
I have a few figurines playing concertina- the tackier the better!

11. what are some of your other hobbies?
Hiking, knitting (I love natural fibers!)

12. do you prefer gold-tone or silver-tone jewelry?
Don't bother- I have what I like to wear!

13. please include anything else you feel is important that would help your secret santa know what you would like
I would rather my SS surprise me with regional treats and other items than try to match my preferences- that's part of the fun!

Remember that "negative hints" such as allergies might also be helpful.
I tend to be sensitive to some walnuts, but that's my only food restriction!
