Wow... and all I wanted was some chords. I agree that the net is a very scarey place, especially after what my high school students bring to the table as evidence. It is not the gushiness that makes me wary, but, rather, it is the speed at which i can be "hooked up" with people who have a love similar to my own which has, because of children, geography, time, and real world issues, been placed on the back burner--hell, let me be frank--it isn't even on the stove anymore. This is the first time I have spent doing something that was productive and enjoyable since I can't remember when. I am going back to school tomorrow with a stack of songs and chords which I have printed on the machine to my right, the sense that I can find my way (sort of...) around the net, and the realization that came to me tonight as I did the dishes, "Holy quacamole! I was in a chat room. ( I think.) Thank you everyone. What a delightful way to spend some time. I will come back to you once I get a list of songs from my friend who, as I explained, lost everything in a flash flodd in Central Texas last year. For those who have had a heavy blow in the Carolinas, I am thinking of you. Wyo Woman. That wasn't too gushy was it?
