I believe you mean RES LOQUITUR IPSA (or, RES IPSA LOQUITUR). The matter speaks for itself. --Cicero, Pro Milone, 53

Abdominal: away from the dominal. Actually, it means relating to the belly, from the Latin word for belly, which was abdomen, possibly the part placed away or concealed.

Absurd: departing from the surd. Actually ab- here has a different meaning, as an intensifier, compounded with surdus Latin, deaf.

Abrogate: leaving the rogate. Actually more along the lines of "to do away with" from ab- (away) and rogare (to request or ask).

Abnormal: away from the not apples (or, perhaps, the evil). Actually "normal" comes from the concept "made according tot he square" from a Latin word for a carpenter's square, normalis. Abnormal is "off-square", not plumb.

Abbreviation: departing from the breviation. Actually a condensation of the compound of "ad-" and "brevire", to shorten. In this sense ad- is an intensifier.

Aboriginal: departing from the original. Actually "from the beginning", a Latin mythological reference to peoples whose history is lost in prehistory. Ab- plus "origine", beginning.
