There were two heavy water plants in Cape Breton. One in Glace Bay and the other in Point Tupper, on the Canso Strait. Both are now gone, victim to a dropping demand for nuclear power.
The one at Glace Bay was built and then re-built a second time as design and materiel flaws surfaced in the first one. All of this created a great deal of work during construction.
