The last interesting presidential-candidate debate was the first one, Kennedy vs. Nixon. And even then, it wasn't really a debate, just a pair of parallel opposing stage-managed news confrences.

I've already made up my mind anyway, and will do my little part in the effort to oust Bush. I wish I could work up a little enthusiasm for Kerry, who I admired 30 years ago much more than I do now. Plus, I live in a state whose electoral votes will probably go Republican whatever I do.
