Not exactly banned, but I had hippie parents with consciences who played Jim Croce. We were allowed to sing along, except for the "Baddest man in the whole d@mn town"-line in Leroy Brown. To this day I still sing along and leave a gap where the swear would be, just 'cause my mamma said to.
