Some guys would say things like "I'd sure like to put the squeeze on her!" and the more daring would shout "Hey, baby! Can I finger your keys?" or "We could make beautiful music together!"

The last were summarily beaten unconscious, since the sentiment was a) trite and b) impossible on the face of it.

But enough of my rather sordid past; I have good news to share!

Yesterday we received word that the Library has been awarded a grant of $4,295, which, combined with the money we have, will permit us to purchase a decent piano! Now we won't have to borrow one when we have musical programs! (I was holding out for a Scandali Cromo L, since I felt it would be more in touch with the community.)
