Pat Costello is a fine banjoist/guitarist from Criswell, Maryland. He and his father have run web banjo instruction for free for years, and he is a generous, openhanded (though sometimes irascible) teacher and propagandist for the banjo, and old time music in general.

He is also a Zen devotee, and I assume Tao too. I have done no more than a quick look at the book on his site, but I have heard wonderful things about it from those who have the hard copy book.
