I have an SPCA cat (10 yrs) who would not be picked up at first. She scratched and bit and was totally wild.

You should see her now. Thinks she's the queen of Sheba. Absolutely loves people. Hates other animals but tolerates the cat next door.

She gently pats me on the head if her bowl is empty and even know how to knock on the door.

Talk about dignity - I have a story but it would take too long.

Cats do change.
