My mother used to sing this song to us all the time. It was almost a chat with the "oooh ooooh" chorus all drawn out.

She was especially effective when she would let down her long black hair and dress up as a witch.

And it alwyas scare the bee-jesus out of uw evn though we knew it was coming. I finally found the words in a song book, but can't remember which one now.
