Readwulf: I'm still wondering why you rule out the use of single-malts in hot toddies. In another current thread ("Song about 'glens'"), I've been advised to avoid blended Scotch whiskys at all costs, and to drink *only* single malts -- but in that context, we're not discussing medicinal values or high temperatures.
