there is a mix which i believe contains mainly brown sugar and butter..

this can be done in a crock pot...
2 quarts apple cider or apple juice
2 cups brown sugar
4 sticks cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup rum
1. Simmer juice, sugar, and cinnamon 15 to 20 minutes. Add butter and
rum and simmer another 10 minutes. Serve hot. Serves 8.

here is another without the cider:
       2 tablespoons brown sugar
       1 1/2 cups water
       1 1/2 cups dark rum
       6 tablespoons butter, softened
Place brown sugar and water into a medium saucepan and heat to boiling. Remove from heat and stir in rum and butter, mixing well. Pour into mugs and sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg. Serve at once.
       Makes 4 servings.
