Sonnet 28/02/03                        DCCXCIV

Sweet muse, you deserve one to bring you rose
At dawn, and cup of tea at fall of night.
I wish I would be such, though my mind knows
I have not reason to think I have right.
You deserve someone to care as you've cared,
To hold for joy and solace: To share soul
As you've other's worries and concerns shared.
Am I a fool to dream I'd fulfill role?
I wish you dreams of heart's desire, but pray
I might some of those visions fill. You hold
My soul within your reach: You need but say,
And I would rush to all of muse enfold.
You are beyond my touch, but I must give
All of my dreams, that one might chance to live.
