I think pumpkin pie made with fresh pie pumpkins is much tastier than from canned pumpkin. I also prefer it made with honey instead of sugar. Don't mean to toot my own horn, but I have won pie contests with my recipe, which is from an old edition of the "New York Times Natural Foods Cookbook."
