You familiar with the cliche scene in a movie/tv show where a doc takes out a pocket watch on a chain and swings it gently in front of patient's eyes so the moving light attracts and holds the attention of the one being hypnotised? The human has times when it needs to focus its attention. Our nervous system is set up to be vulnerable to light with motion, it seems.
