There's no entry on this song in the Traditional Ballad Index. folktrax.org has an entry, but it's very brief. The only songbook source cited is Palmer's Oxford Book of Sea Songs. The version in the Digital Tradition is not attributed. It's almost the same lyrics that I found in the Turning Toward the Morning CD by Bok, Muir, and Trickett - but not exactly. I wonder where the DT version is from.
