Music4U, the Humber Region's Youth Music Action Zone, will be running its second Community Music for Practitioners Course next year, aimed at developing new skills that will enable musicians to work effectively within the community.

The Community Music For Practitioners 2005 course will take place in Hull from January to December 2005 over a series of weekends (and some weekdays) with a total of 34 days of training. The course is accredited through the University of Hull's Centre for Lifelong Learning.

o Establishing workshop skills
o Developing ensemble and performance skills
o Self-managing a community music project
o Composing, song writing, arranging and recording
o Designing and running a team project in community music
o Investigating the context of community music

Introductory Sessions

Saturday 20 November, 11am - 3pm at The Angel, Brigg
or
Sunday 21 November, 11am - 3pm at The Albemarle Centre, Ferensway, Hull
