Are you a dream, dear muse, or are you real,
That dreams might be fulfilled? Should I desire
To touch more than your heart, or ask you feel
Towards me as you my feelings now inspire?
Might you be more than muse? Would you share heart
With one who asks and offers all? What goal
Should I pursue: Should I seek only art,
Or try to know if your heart makes me whole?
Does vision equal sight, that dreams can show
What might yet be? Will I look into eyes
In search for what my heart might wish to know?
Is search for true love ever truly wise?
I cannot less than feelings show, but fear
I risk with truth something that I hold dear.
