Bert is a boilermaker, if I do say so myself.

In England a boilermaker is a Stout and Mild.

In the USA a boilermaker is a beer with a shot of whiskey in it. The whiskey being sunk into the beer in a shot glass.

Either way I served a five year apprenticeship as a boilermaker.
