Thanks Frankie....I, for one, appreciate what you're saying and not wanting to start a debate!!!

I think a lot of things have come out in the last twenty or thirty years that sound quite "folkie" or traditional. It seems to me that some people have a greater talent for this kind of thing and I'd guess its because they are rooted in that "sound" to begin with. The most obvious one that I think does it best is Jay Ungar. Not only "Ashoken Farewell," but most eveything he writes tends to sound as though it came from another time.
