Open end up. Then it stops the luck running out. There again if you have it that way up it makes a seat for witches.. perhaps that's why all mine are up that way, extra seating. It's Ok MBSLynne, you can have a comfy chair when you come down, unless you prefer a horseshoe with a cushion on it...
