Subject: RE: BS: message to Tony Blair
We arrived late in the war becaue of the rediculous pacifist movement in this country (gee nothing has changed in 60 years) and the fact that FDR didn't think the USA would support a "jewish" war.   Getting in late killed 6 million jews.   Thank you FDR, Chamberlain, and the rest of Europe.   After Pearl Harbor the USA finally accepted the war and didn't consider it only a "jewish problem".

To think that Britain and France would have won it without the USA is dillutional. Yippee Doo- you must be getting your facts from your brother Scooby Doo.

If you want to defend firing Churchill be my guest.   History seems to treat him very well.

As for Les Barker- he was fired from the Sactuary Concert Seriew in New Jersey after someone won free concert tickets to the performance.   The person didn't know anything about Les and looked up his web site.    The person read the piece "Questions" and was taken aback by many comments including the one "Israel was a nation founded by terrorista and maintained today by terrorists in uniform"   The person was horrified and called the Church and Scott Sheldon who runs the concert.   I went to the FP festival in NJ a few weeks before the event where Scott was in attendance and Les Barker was one of the performers.   Scott is a good guy who has done a great jot in running the series. He made a touch decison. There was a lot of discussion on the pros and cons of firing Les on other forums.

when I heard about the issue I went to Les's web site and read "Questions"   I also was horified and sent Les an e-mail with my thoughts.   We both exchanged some heated e-mails.   Les stated that he "didn't care if he ever worked in North America again" because the "issue was far more important to him"

My questions to all of you is-   I have gone to 30 Canadian folk festivals and at least once during the festival a performer or MC makes an anti american comment.    Barker makes money in the USA and publishes a very anti american comment.    The British press labels 59 million americans stupid in their headline.   Is there an american performer who criticizes Canada or Great Britain on their web site or in their concerts?    Is there an american folk artist who write a piece about the rediculous imigration policy in Canada that allows terrorists to come in or Britains failure in Bosnia or any other issue.   I can't think of any.   Let me know if you can.   Why is it that American performers don't take cheap chots at other countries, but other country performers feel the need to take cheap shots at Americans.
