I don't know how long this person needs to remain on this soft diet, but there are some wonderful grains out there you might want to try.

My all-time favorite is called Quinoa. You cook it Half Cup Quinoa to A Cup of Water, like rice. You can first put the Quinoa into a frying pan and turn it a nice golden brown, or just give it a rinse before you add the grain and water together, bring the water to a boil, then on the LOWEST heat possible, cover it and leave it for about twenty minutes. The water is absorbed completely and you are left with the most Delicious Food. I like it with honey on top, but you can also use it as a side dish for any meal.

It's a very healthy grain, and has a wonderful consistancy...like teeny tiny little bubbles of joy. (Hey, it's early in the morning, and I haven't eaten yet!)
