I saw Paul Siebel perform on a bill with Happy and Artie Traum in Syracuse, NY in the winter of 1973. I got to sit in the front row and watch his guitar work. I found it like his lyrics, very deceptive and very good.

The person next to me during the intermit called him a Jerry Jeff Walker wannabee. So I spilled my coffee in his lap.

It was a great show.
