Thread Name: BS: What makes a country great?

Ebbie, you should read Marx (a communist) - he quite explicitly ridiculed the idea of equality (in the Critique of the Gotha Programme), as everybody has different needs, some people like fish fingers and some people like lamb dalesteaks. What he was on about was a society run 'From each according to ability, to each according to need!', common ownership (not state), direct democratic control of the means of wealth production, and free access to goods and services for all.

When you say it doesn't work, you are referring to the state capitalist countries, who said they were on there way to communism, but clearly weren't. When everybody gets behind the idea it will work.

Blissfully ignorant, you are astute observer, but making better people to make a better world is a tried and failed religious idea. Socialists use science to understand the world and when there are enough socialists we can use our knowledge to change it for the better.

THE WORLD FOR THE WORKERS!
