At any rate, I guess I figured "Salty Dog" was something long the lines of "Back Door Man..." But the post above talking about someone being really good at what he/she does could definitely apply. Meaning, the guy is saying he thinks he's really good at what he does and he wants the lady to give him a chance to prove it...
