...and of course, if you just had one or two relatively large fish in the barrel, not so big that they couldn't swim, but maybe large enough that they wouldn't be inclined to want to swim, taking aim and shooting them while they remained relatively still would probably produce successful results fairly easily.

I would be almost willing to bet that someone, somewhere has tried this at least once.
