Forget Mad Reindeer disease, it's Chronic Wasting Disease you have to watch out for.

I've eaten reindeer, especially reindeer sausage. It's made in Alaska and it's delicious. High protein, just spicy enough. Ummmmmmmm!

My nephew, Ralph, shot a deer some years back and for some reason want the head mounted (this is NOT customary in my family or among my acquaintances as we hunt for meat, not trophies). He paid for it, and the work was well done. He mounted it on his bedroom wall and then went off to the Marines.

So he gets Christmas leave and brings a couple of his USMC buddies home with him. And there, on the wall, is his slightly modified deer head: pink bows adorn the antlers, and a red-painted ping-pong ball now is stuck on the nose. Under it is a sign reading "Shot by Ralph, December 24, 1998. The rest got away."

His buddies and his family thought it was hilarious.
