No, the moon is NOT burning up! Whoever shot that photo failed to ask me, Filterman, for assistance. Any idiot who's ever looked at the moon through even the cheapest, crappiest dime-store Tasco telescope knows that you have to use a filter! Why? Because, moron, telescopes don't just make distant objects bigger, they amplify the light coming from those objects. So, the light of a full moon seen through a telescope can be darned near as bright as the light of the sun seen by naked eyes. So, you have to use a filter to cut down on the light intensity.

But, what Filterman really wants to know is what genius drawing a far-above-average salary while working in a zillion-dollar observatory or on a multi-zillion-dollar satellite program doesn't have the sense to use a five-dollar filter before taking a friggin' picture of the moon?
