I lived in England till age fourteen and Billy Cotton was a big part of my childhood, so much that I can even remember a verse of "Close the door" Here it is:

I was watering the garden on my window sill
And then I saw them coming over yonder hill
There must have been a million of every shape and size
And so I yelled to everybody, "Hurry! Get inside"
