Have you done the washing up now? If so, you are welcome to open the outer packaging, all is safely wrapped inside. Customs declarations are terribly tedious, but you will find that, in this case, there have been no falsehoods!

It will be up to you to restrain yourself with anything unwrapped if you wish, but wrapped articles (interesting but inexpensive) will be happy under your tree until your self-appointed opening date - Birthday or Solstice as I recall.
