I don't like people using the cat to advertise, but I will say, that I watched my mother die from lung cancer, and

         IT HURTS LIKE HELL!

Mom was a stoic all her life. Arthritis, asthma, hip replacements, she didn't complain of the pain. But the surgery to remove the malignancy was exquisitely painful for her, and so were her last days.
Quit smoking. It increases your chances of being shot by a jealous wife/husband when you're 95 years old.
