Like they say, "If you remember the '60s, you weren't there."

Jerry's right -- lots of excess, but some of that excess was excesses of tolerance, of caring for others, of breaking down barriers, of changes (yes, not always for the better).

Today we reap the harvest of some of the bad excesses as well: drugs of more and more potency, self-indulgence...you can name more.
