Had much of my life formed by it and remember enough of it.

I firmly believe that much of the conservative climate that exists today is backlash from it. There was good that came out of it as far as the civil rights movement and there was bad that came out of it such as drugs and the sexual freedom that led to AIDS and way too many out of wedlock children.
