If the Rathskeller, Rat Cellar, as we used to call it, is still in business that would a good place to enjoy pizzia. When I was in school some 40 years ago, the Rathskeller, was down steps in an alley and resembled an underground cavern and well worth the short hop from Durham. Mike Casey, an excellent mountain dulcimer player used to live in that area. I think there are some excellent folklore collections at the Univ. of North Carolina and at Duke.
