I remember my 21st birthday unfortunately. I had the mother of all colds - miserable, stuffed up and sneezing, and couldn't taste a thing. My family chose to take me out to a posh restaurant. I can still remember the spectacular and completely tasteless Bombe Alaska that taunted me as I "ate" it. Such a disappointment! Hope your 21st was better!
