I hate to tell you this, Sandra, but you might have to hunker down again on Wednesday for a few days. Hot temperatures well into the 30's are predicted for Wed-Sun.

I don't like it that hot either. If I stay in the house and keep it all closed up during the day, I can keep it cooler for quite a few hours, then, like you, later in the day when it has hopefully cooled down, I open up all the windows. Trouble is, sometimes it doesn't cool down at night, then I have a hard time sleeping - a fan doesn't help much because I find the humming and the movement of the air rather unsettling.
