I first met her in college. She was gorgeous and she had a boyfriend. He was Mr IT and we knew she was doomed. I met her again years later after the marriage had failed, as had a series of relationships with guys...different name, same type. I just couldn't understand why she couldn't see it. Finally she deliberately got pregnant in her early 40's as a desperate measure to hook a guy who was completely unsuitable and who bolted. Now she's in her 60's, gone to fat, gone to seed. Always she made the wrong choice. It was infuriating to watch it and no one could stop her or help her, although some good men would have fallen at her feet. Of course now, she badmouths all men!
