I loaded Skype and used it to talk to my boss in the UK. I am using broadband with Win2000.

The connection was really clear. The front end was dead easy to use too.

I have asked my son in Wellington to sign up to it so we can talk and not worry about phone bills.

I have not tried Paltalk so I cannot comment. But Skype worked for me.
