I've never had anything in the U.S. that approached what I had at a restaurant in Victoria , BC as the #5 curry on a scale of 10.
I wonder sometimes if the employees of the restaurants are laughing up their sleeves, knowing what they serve is not nearly as hot as what they'd normally eat! :D
Ok, not curry, but in the San francisco Bay Area, I went to a bar that served a "havanero (SP?) burger". (I'm trying to spell the cuban pepper.) anyway, I had to sign a release form, and I got a certificate of accomplishment. Well, twenty-four hours later, I soon found out why.
It was actually quite flavorful, which is something I can't normally say for "hot" foods. Teresa
