Sonnet 07/10/03                                DCCCLIII                

A cool day, and chill night, to spend alone,
With only dreams to ease the cold. I think
Of you, and spring: I would from your lips drink
The taste of April. Have my visions shown
My heart the future? Can I hope to own
The chance to show how much I care for you?
For now, I have but words to share; Too few
To show dreams, but enough to Fate bemoan.
I'd wrap you in my arms, within a quilt,
To keep you warm, and safe. I'd hold you tight
And share as much of dreams as you allow.
I offer heart , and all my visions, built
Of desire, and thought of dear eyes. This night,
Please know I seek that you are happy, now.
