It has a very useful summary of the UK position and some more details, as well as information on how to register a copyright, and a summary of the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988.

One interesting piece of informaion is that Performance, copies or lending for educational purposes can be carried out without infringing copyright. It should also be noted that Playing sound recording for a non profit making organisation, club or society is also exempt.
