For the people of Boscastle in Cornwall, it is Mary Ellen Carter. Every Wednesday night there is a sing at the Wellington Hotel, the Welly, and after the flood totally devastated the village on 16th August, wrecking the Welly, the people there still gathered outside the pub on the Wednesday evening, amongst all the debris, to sing. It was Mary Ellen Carter that they sang and that has got them through. It has to be a 'must include'.
